Backpack build to feature local sports champions and students as they build 4,000 backpacks filled with supplies to support kids in under-resourced schools
Kansas City, Missouri. (Dec. 4, 2023) – Kids In Need Foundation’s Team Tackle initiative will host its second Backpack Blitz on Monday, Dec. 4 in Kansas City. For the Backpack Blitz event, Kids In Need Foundation will team up with Kansas City champions and local students to assemble 4,000 backpacks filled with core school supplies for local students in under-resourced schools. Safety Mike Edwards and safety Nazeeh Johnson, guard Mike Caliendo and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will participate in the event.
The event will take place at Northeast Middle School (4901 Independence Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64124) from 2:00pmCT – 3:00pmCT. Deloitte* and Bay Sales will provide support and supplies for the build.
Team Tackle is an initiative that brings professional football players together with Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) to raise visibility and support for every child in America to have equal opportunity and resources to engage in a quality education.
