Acquisition Manager/Prospect Researcher

Description

  • Identifies and conducts in-depth research on prospective donors for KINF, whether individual, corporate, foundation or government agency opportunities.
  • Conducts asset-based research on individuals and prepares written confidential information pieces and prospect profiles
  • Develops prospect lists/pools in support of various campaigns, projects and events and serves as primary resource to Development Officers providing information and support as needed.
  • Manages data maintenance (CRM-SalesForce) for Prospect Research, Prospect Management Reports, system data and records upkeep.
  • Monitors the prospect pool and provides support to the moves management process including identifying prospects who need to be reviewed, preparing reports and other materials for review meeting, preparing follow up materials and reports
  • Analyzes and synthesizes accumulated information for individuals to assess financial capacity, philanthropic tendencies, giving propensity and linkages to KINF mission.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely updates of information maintained in Salesforce as it relates to biographical, business, research notes, and prospect management data.
  • Develops documents and presentation materials, including but not limited to, proposals for major gift solicitations, grant applications, and reports for internal meetings, as requested.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years related not-for-profit experience with background in data management or equivalent combination
  • Demonstrated experience in prospect research, development, or an information related field.
  • Knowledge of the range and scope of resources available to prospect researchers and the ability to apply those resources in an organized and purposeful manner.
  • Proficient in computer application including nonprofit CRM and research tools and databases.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and adept and clear, concise and timely communication both internally and externally.
