Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager will help develop the strategy and oversee execution for donor acquisition and retention, as well as donor engagement. This is a remote position.

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Brand Engagement


The digital marketing and engagement manager will be responsible for growing Kids In Need Foundation’s (KINF) mass donor file.. In this role, the individual implements strategies and tactics that grow KINF’s audience and donors, while also retaining them, and converting them into leads, donors, and active supporters of KINF.

The digital marketing and engagement manager will have command of best practices and trends, enjoy being creative, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support internal, integrated efforts to develop strategic, effective, and consistent communications and maximize owned, earned, and paid/unpaid social media strategies to drive KINF public profile and individual support as it relates to brand campaigns/projects/events

  • Create and test data-driven donor acquisition and growth strategies and supporter journeys aimed at increasing individual donor retention.

  • Support objectives to increase awareness and engagement, leading and driving Inbound Marketing.

  • Work cross-departmentally to assist with messaging and storytelling (email messages, website) with an aim to provide an exceptional donor experience that results in increased engagement and donations.

  • Monitor and optimize gift processing systems and donation pages and troubleshoot potential tech issues.

  • Create and monitor reports on all key KPIs. Prepare reports from SalesForce and iDonate to share with wider development and leadership teams.

  • Work with the Brand Engagement team to test copy, subject lines, and other aspects of email content to drive response.

  • In collaboration with the brand engagement team, leverage social media and email activity to learn more about donor behavior and communication preferences.

  • Closely works with internal teams to plan content, creative, user journeys, and messaging that drives performance and growth.

  • Consistently monitor competitive landscape and best practices, adapting to audience approaches as needed.

  • Collaborate with independent contractors providing SEO/SEM support.

  • Partner in tandem with the Vice President, Brand Strategy & Engagement to support all efforts to establish events

  • Support event management including creation, planning, execution, and monitoring of performance/budgets in collaboration with the brand engagement team

  • Manage and ensure all event partner deliverables are satisfied

  • Support event operations by working in close collaboration with internal departments

  • Communicate event schedules, meet deadlines, and achieve overall objectives

  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities in carrying forward the mission of KINF

 

QUALIFIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • 4 or more years of digital marketing, including donor acquisition.

  • Previous event exposure and experience

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.

  • Experience managing non-profit communications and/or social media channels.

  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Proficiency in using fundraising/CRM (SalesForce, iDonate) software.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple campaigns/projects/ events simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, shift focus quickly, and balance multiple projects at any given time.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Must be fully Covid-19 vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Required to sit for long periods of time

  • Extensive use of computer, keyboard, and mouse

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Potential travel required
