Manager, Affinity Relationships

REPORTS TO: Sr.  Dir Development and Corporate Partnerships

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Constituent Engagement and Experience, Senior Manager, Affinity Relationships is a key role within the constituent engagement department focused on developing and implementing automated, personalized, and comprehensive stewardship, recognition, and engagement plans for the organization’s mass to mid-level donors.


  • Build strong relationships within current key donor segments and acquire new relationships
  • Delivers regular reporting and recognition strategies for mid level donors, collaborating with development officers and other stakeholders
  • Creates and maintains automated (self-serviced) donor experiences such as but not limited to supply drives, customized GIK asks, and affinity group collaborations
  • Evaluates stewardship processes for gifts up to $50,000 and develops best practices for mid donor stewardship and recognition
  • Partners with the Director of Constituent Engagement to coordinate donor strategies and make recommendations regarding the team's stewardship assignments and priorities to help ensure a manageable portfolio of work
  • Enthusiastically exhibit a donor-centric approach to engagement while maintaining fidelity to program and department metrics of accountability
  • Coordinates with micro-influencers on project-based campaigns
  • Responsible for mid-donor acquisition through online content engagement and in-person networking
  • Communicates project schedules, meets deadlines and achieves overall objectives
  • Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Project Management, Donor Development, Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • 3-5 years proven track record managing and leading strategic, metric-based projects
  • Fundraising campaigns/projects from ideation to launch
  • Strong project management skills, and experience creating work plans, setting and meeting clear expectations and deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams with integrity and professionalism and foster close relationships with internal and external teams to build programs and execute campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record in producing communications material and working with a range of software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Experience using CRM tools, Salesforce preferred
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States


  • Required to sit for long periods of time
  • Extensive use of computer, keyboard and mouse
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
