Operations & Process Specialist
REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for inventory processing and intake in addition to daily operational logistics in the Kids In Need Foundation warehouse
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inbound: Unloading of trucks, verifying shipment counts, storage of product in the warehouse.
- Outbound: Accurate fulfillment of orders in alignment with listed due dates, as well as loading onto trucks
- Comfortable using heavy equipment including forklift, pallet jack, and cardboard baler
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator to have product items shucked and prepared as requested
- Cycle counts of warehouse product to maintain accurate inventory counts
- Maintaining a clean work environment through garbage disposal and sweeping
- Answering inquiries into available inventory
- Drive efficiencies through daily work process improvements
- Coordinate with volunteer management team to utilize volunteer labor for donations and inventory processing
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to do simple multiplication, addition, and subtraction
- Forklift certification required or successfully complete within first 30 days of hire
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency using warehouse management software | MS Office | G Suite tools
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
- HS Diploma Required, Associates or Bachelors Preferred
- 1 to 3 years of direct warehouse experience
- MUST BE COVID-19 VACCINATED AND MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE PROOF PRIOR TO HIRE
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Required to be able to bend and perform repetitive motions
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Able to move pallets weighing up to 2,000 pounds
