Teacher Resource Center Assistant - ONSITE
REPORTS TO: Senior Director of National Network
POSITION SUMMARY:The Teacher Resource Center Assistant is responsible for the "behind the scenes" operations of our Teacher Resource Center (TRC), the flagship location of our National Network of Resource Centers. Their focus is on increasing product efficiencies as it relates to processing items from our warehouse and small carton areas and getting them into the TRC. Additionally, they will lend support within our TRC as it relates to the checkout experience and product needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Support daily operations of the TRC which include:
- Partnering with Operations team on restock of TRC items, specifically if it relates to our Small Carton area
- Organize Small Carton area, responsible for funneling product from warehouse into TRC in a structured and efficient manner
- Maintenance of store stash area: product stocking and labeling, ensuring product is easily
accessible and space is consistently utilized in the most effective way possible - Help maintain product re/stocking best practices, presenting items in a visually appealing manner and ensuring the TRC is flush with product
- Partner with TRC Coordinator on checkout process
- Fill-in for TRC Coordinator when they are OOO/unavailable
- Partnering with TRC Coordinator to maintain daily operations, printing daily shopper roster, maintaining volunteer schedule and designating tasks—as available
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing a retail environment
- Technically inclined/process-oriented
- Experience with POS or similar type inventory/retail software
- Demonstrated customer service experience, must be friendly and accommodating to our shoppers
- Ability to give clear and concise work direction to TRC staff and volunteers
- Ability to work special events where the TRC may be open during non-standard work hours
- Ability to work 1-2 Saturdays a month
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to do simple multiplication, addition, and subtraction
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Required to stand for long periods of time
- Required to be able to bend and perform repetitive motions
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work special events where the TRC may be open in non-standard work hours
- Ability to work occasional nights and Saturday shifts
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
- HS Diploma Required
- Must be COVID-19 vaccinated and provide proof
