MINNEAPOLIS – August 9, 2017 – The Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) will host a surprise “School Ready Supplies” event benefiting students at Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary in East Point, Ga. on Wednesday, Aug. 9. The event, sponsored by Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C., Attorneys at Law, will be held at 9 a.m. at Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary (2301 Connally Drive, East Point, Ga. 30344).

The surprise backpack giveaway, held exclusively for Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary students entering pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, will provide 775 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, a water bottle, and a hangtag to equip the students for the new school year.

The Kids In Need Foundation ensures that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students most in need. By partnering with select organizations and corporations nationwide, KINF’s School Ready Supplies program provides those in need of school supplies with the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom. In the organization’s 20-year history, they have distributed nearly $800 million in supplies to children who would otherwise go without.

“We are thrilled to partner with Kenneth S. Nugent, P.C. Attorneys at Law and CBS EcoMedia to host this School Ready Supplies event,” said Dave Smith, executive director of The Kids In Need Foundation. “When students have the tools they need to learn, they are more engaged in the classroom, their homework completion rates improve, and their interest in learning increases. We are confident this initiative will make a huge impact in the lives of these students.”

Admission to the School Ready Supplies event is open to all Hamilton E. Holmes Elementary students and their families. Attendees must check in to the school office upon arrival to the event to receive a free backpack provided by KINF and Ken S. Nugent, P.C. Attorneys at Law.
