Classroom Supply Box applications are being reviewed!

Welcome to the information page for the Kids In Need Foundation program, offering successful applicants with two large Classroom Supply Boxes – enough core school supplies to last an entire classroom for at least one semester.

Our annual application window has now closed. Our team is reviewing the applications we received this year and will begin announcing the initial wave of recipients for the 2019/2020 school year beginning on or about the first week of October.

Did you apply for Classroom Supply Boxes in 2018?

If you currently have a classroom page listed on, you will need to update your online profile with a cover photo and profile picture.

How it works

Kids In Need Foundation serves classrooms located in some of the most economically challenged communities in our county, where new school supplies are luxuries families often can’t afford.

Each year we receive more and more deserving applicants and so, to keep up with the need for classroom supplies, we’ve expanded and taken the program online where donors can supply classrooms not just during back-to-school, but all school year long!

Through the website, we empower donors to locate and directly support classrooms that are meaningful to them. Ready to find and help a teacher in need? Click here to see all available classrooms!

Are you a teacher looking for direct support from Kids In Need Foundation?

Our program was designed for you to showcase your classroom and the impact that free supplies will have on your students, your ability to teach, and the success of everyone involved in the lives of your learners. Each summer, teachers from across the country can submit a personal statement and share how the classroom supplies will impact their students.

Through the generous contributions of our sponsors, KINF is able to fully supply hundreds of classrooms at the start of each school year. Then, KINF takes the additional qualifying applications and shares this information on where local donors can search for a specific teacher, a city or state, school district and find classrooms in a community in need of support. Donors can fund all or a portion of the school supplies, called Classroom Supply Boxes, or even fund multiple schools within a district.

When you give a Classroom Supply Box, you’re giving hope!

Does your classroom need free supplies?

The program focuses on our core mission of providing essential school supplies to the classrooms of children most in need.  If you teach in a school where the rate of free and reduced lunch is 70% or higher, you can apply during our annual application period each summer.
