Southern California Edison Fundraiser

At Southern California Edison (SCE), we believe in our communities.  In strong hands and beating hearts, noble causes, and everyday heroes.  That when we care, we'll inspire others to do the same, and together, we'll build a better tomorrow.

Beginning August 18th and continuing through September 2nd, SCE will be partnering with the Kids In Need Foundation to support the Supply A Teacher initiative to our unsung heroes, our teachers, by empowering them to provide backpacks and smiles to under-resourced students in both Rosemead and Long Beach, California.

Due to the difficult challenges, in the last couple of years, underserved communities and school districts across the country have lost resources and funding to provide for their students.  Teachers have been closing the gap by using one or two of their own paychecks to provide school necessities.

In preparation for students returning to school in the fall, Operational Services Employee Giving is excited to partner with the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), to distribute school supplies and support classrooms in under-resourced communities through the SUPPLY A TEACHER initiative.

Every student deserves an equal opportunity to succeed (such as access to basic essential school supplies).  Operational Services has a fundraising goal of $1,000 to sponsor (5) teachers in the Rosemead and Long Beach service territories.  Donating as little as $25.00 would support our goal of ensuring as many students as possible receive a backpack filled with basic school supplies and start the new school year with a smile.

We are honored to join the worthy cause to positively impact a student's life and help provide the support needed for teachers to teach and learners to learn.

Thank you for your support,

The Operational Services Employee Giving Team
