Each summer, Kids In Need Foundation is proud to partner with Toyota through their Big Summer Giveback—an initiative that brings together Toyota dealerships across the country to support local students with the supplies they need to start the school year prepared and confident. Through in-class distribution events, dealership teams don’t just hand out backpacks—they step into classrooms, share encouragement, and become part of a student’s story.

At Union Elementary School in Tolleson, the arrival of backpacks and school supplies wasn’t just a donation delivery—it was a moment that turned an ordinary school day into a moment of celebration and an outpouring of community support. Students were surprised with brand-new backpacks filled with essential tools for learning, giving them a boost to start the year with confidence and preparedness.

The excitement and gratitude felt within the school shows how this kind of response reflects why schools like Union Elementary are selec. ted as recipients of the Big Summer Giveback. Union serves a diverse, vibrant student population who benefit profoundly from equitable access to supplies. Access to quality supplies can make a real difference in how children start their school day, and in the long-term, their attitude towards education as a whole. And when an entire campus lights up with excitement over new backpacks and fresh tools for learning, it shows how meaningful this support can be for families and educators alike.

By choosing schools where the donation of these resources isn’t only about the supplies themselves—but rather taking the time to recognize and respond to local needs. This campaign is designed to support educational equity, uplift communities, and elevate the everyday experience of students, families and teachers alike. Thanks to dealerships like you, we are able to come together to help students walk into the classroom with confidence and pride.

Stories like this one remind us why partnerships like the Big Summer Give Back matter so deeply. When community leaders, corporate partners, and educators come together, the impact reaches far beyond a single day in the classroom. It creates moments of connection, inspiration, and hope that students carry with them long after the backpacks are unzipped. Thank you for being part of this journey—turning preparation today into opportunity, confidence, and readiness for students this summer and beyond.

Every day, teachers show up for their students with passion, creativity, and dedication—but too many of them are doing it without the supplies they need to create the learning environments their students deserve. No teacher should have to choose between giving their students the best education possible and paying out of pocket for basic classroom materials.

Your company can help change that at scale.

Through a partnership with Kids In Need Foundation, your organization can:

A single corporate commitment can fill thousands of backpacks, stock entire classrooms, and remind teachers they are not alone. When companies invest in educators, they strengthen communities, support future talent, and help ensure every child has the opportunity to learn with confidence.

Join us in creating equitable learning environments—one classroom, one community, and one employee activation at a time.

At Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), we believe every student deserves equal access to the resources needed for a quality education. We work to foster equitable learning spaces by providing essential supplies to under-resourced students and teachers nationwide, focusing on schools where 70% or more of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program.
