Kids In Need Little Canada Warehouse

After more than 10 years of meaningful moments in our Roseville space–where thousands of volunteers lent their time, teachers found much needed support, and millions of students received supplies to help them thrive—Kids In Need Foundation is thrilled to begin a new chapter in an expanded home. This move reflects the heart and hustle of our incredible staff, whose dedication has powered our mission forward, and it stands as a testament to the growing need we’re here to meet.

This move isn’t just about walls and square footage–it’s about expanding our capacity to serve. It means more opportunities for volunteers to give back, more moments where teachers feel seen and supported, and more students who are able to walk into school feeling confident and prepared for whatever the day holds. Because of you—our supporters, partners and friends who believe in our work and invest in the future of education—we’re equipped to do even more.

Our new, expanded home isn’t just a bigger building; it’s a powerful symbol of growth, resilience, and our unwavering commitment to supporting under-resourced schools across the country. Thank you for being a part of this journey—this move belongs to all of us.

Teacher and Students with School Supplies

What started as a small but mighty mission has grown into a nationwide effort to ensure every child is equipped to learn and succeed. The story of Kids In Need Foundation has always been one of purpose, progress, and steady growth—and now it’s time for us to turn the page to begin a new chapter in our story. For over 10 years, our Roseville facility was more than just a building—it was the heartbeat of that mission. It served as our home—a home where week after week we welcomed volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and packed countless backpacks for students around the country. Where we celebrated educators across the Twin Cities and surrounding communities and served them every day with vital support and resources. Where millions of students received the supplies they needed to show up confidently in the classroom. Every box and backpack filled in that space has been a part of something bigger; a collective belief that every child deserves a quality education, no matter where they come from.

But missions like ours are meant to grow—and grown we have. What once fit within the cozy bounds of Roseville has now outgrown its walls. That’s why we are stepping into the next phase of our mission—and a new facility that is not only larger, but designed with our future in mind. With over 50,000 additional square feet—35,000 being just in our warehouse—upgraded facility capabilities, and more flexible space for building kits and backpacks, hosting volunteers, and streamlining logistics… our new home isn’t just larger—it’s smarterfaster, and built for deeper impact. Every corner is a reflection of our commitment to doing more and doing it better than we did before.

The space may be new, but the heart of our work remains unchanged. This move represents more than just operational efficiency; it opens the door to greater collaborationcreativity and reach. It allows us to reach more classrooms, respond more quickly to the needs of our communities, and create more opportunities for connection—whether it’s a teacher discovering a box of brand-new supplies, a volunteer team assembling kits side-by-side, or a donor seeing their support transformed into impact. It’s the kind of space where possibility fills the air and where every action—from packing a pencil case to organizing a shipment—echoes with intention.

And while this move marks a new era for KINF, it’s only made possible by the enduring support of our community. Our growth has been powered by the partners who’ve walked beside us every step of the way, the donors who continue to believe in the power of prepared students, and the countless individuals who have shown up, year after year, to help us carry our mission forward. Your belief in our work has fueled this evolution, and we can’t wait to show you all what’s possible in this new space.

As we settle into this exciting new home, we’re not just celebrating growth—we’re embracing a future where every pencil, backpack, and kit reaches further and means more.

Kids In Need Foundation helps create equitable learning spaces through the distribution of supplies and resources, investing in teachers and students in underserved schools. With the belief that every child in America should have equal opportunity and resources to engage in a quality education, Kids In Need Foundation focuses its programs and initiatives on teachers and students most under-resourced, those where 70 percent or more of the enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced-cost meals through the National School Lunch Program. In 2023, through its programs, National Network of Resource Centers, and coast-to-coast local partners, Kids In Need Foundation and our national network supported over 4 million students and 200,00 teachers in 13,000 under-resourced schools, with KINF distributing more than $42 million in free school supplies and classroom resources nationwide at no cost to schools or teachers.
