Schools have changed dramatically over the past few decades. For educators like Hayley, who began working in education in 1991, that change is impossible to miss.

“When I started working in ’91, I worked at a school where we were overflowing with support,” Hayley shares. “Now, we’re working bare-bones and making hard decisions: Do we have a physical education teacher, or do we have an art teacher? And who do those decisions impact? The kids.”

When school resources are stretched thin, educators are often asked to do more with less. Every difficult budget decision can mean fewer opportunities, fewer resources, or less support for the students who need them.

Yet, even in the face of these challenges, educators continue to show up.

For Hayley, it’s the people around her who make that possible.

“I look at my kids, the people I work with, and what we do for each other and the community. It may sound cliché, but the people keep me going—every day.”

At Kids In Need Foundation, we see that dedication every day. Educators across the country are working tirelessly to create classrooms where students feel supported, prepared, and ready to learn—regardless of the resources available to them.

By providing essential school supplies and resources, we can help ease some of that burden and give educators more of what they need to focus on what matters most: their students.

Because when we support educators, we help them keep showing up for kids.

Every day, teachers show up for their students with passion, creativity, and dedication—but too many of them are doing it without the supplies they need to create the learning environments their students deserve. No teacher should have to choose between giving their students the best education possible and paying out of pocket for basic classroom materials.

You can help change that!

At Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), we believe every student deserves equal access to the resources needed for a quality education. We work to foster equitable learning spaces by providing essential supplies to under-resourced students and teachers nationwide, focusing on schools where 70% or more of students qualify for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program.
