At Kids In Need Foundation, our mission has always been simple but powerful: We believe that every student deserves the chance to walk into school feeling confident, equipped, and ready to learn. For many, that preparation begins not with new textbooks or technology, but with the essentials—a sharpened pencil, a clean notebook, a backpack to call their own. Because when students have the tools they need, they don’t just complete assignments—they discover what’s possible

Yet for countless students across the country, they face a barrier to learning that begins before the bell ever rings. Teachers see it every day: students eager to learn and participate, but lack the critical materials to do so. It’s a challenge that extends far beyond the classroom, and one that, when addressed, can be the turning point for a student to fall in love with learning. That’s where our partners–and the communities behind them–step in to make all the difference

This fall, we’re proud to celebrate a partnership that’s helping turn classrooms into places that foster a love of learning—one meal, and one round-up, at a time.

Across the country, Chipotle customers are taking part in something extraordinary—turning small change into lasting impact. Through Chipotle’s Round-Up for Real Change campaign, customers are invited to round up their total at checkout; transforming spare cents into real opportunities for students nationwide.

That simple act has added up to something remarkable: more than 3 million dollars raised to date, providing essential school supplies and learning materials to hundreds of thousands of under-resourced students.

The impact of this partnership goes far beyond the supplies themselves; it’s about what happens when those supplies reach the hands of teachers and students. For teachers like Griffin Fox, a 6th grade English teacher, it’s about the spark that access to those supplies creates–the joy that comes when students are ready to learn and feel confident doing so.

“We need to make sure that they fall in love with learning, and that they have the resources and environment to do that.” His words capture the heart of this partnership. Because when classrooms are stocked, teachers are supported, and students have what they need, learning transforms from a task into an experience of joy and discovery.

Chipotle’s commitment to supporting education doesn’t stop at the register. Beyond their round-up campaign, they have continued to uplift and give back to teachers in meaningful ways—providing over 2 million dollars in free burritos and leading national initiatives like Teacher Thanks, which celebrates educators’ impact both in and out of the classroom.

Through every effort, Chipotle has shown what it means to invest in the people shaping future minds—by helping classrooms become places of possibility, places of excitement and curiosity, places that foster a love of learning.

The joy of learning starts with having the right tools—and thanks to partners like Chipotle, students across the country are walking into classrooms equipped with all the supplies they need to fall in love with learning all over again.

As essential supplies begin to dwindle as students and teachers get closer to mid-year, Kids In Need Foundation’s Ready, Set, Restock campaign is here to keep that momentum going. We’re refilling classrooms to ensure they stay equipped from the start of the school year all the way to summer vacation

Join us on Give to the Max Day (November 19th, 2025) and Giving Tuesday (December 2nd, 2025) to help replenish classrooms, reignite creativity, and keep students falling in love with learning—one pencil, one notebook, one student at a time.

Kids In Need Foundation helps create equitable learning spaces through the distribution of supplies and resources, investing in teachers and students in underserved schools. With the belief that every child in America should have equal opportunity and resources to engage in a quality education, Kids In Need Foundation focuses its programs and initiatives on teachers and students most under-resourced, those where 70 percent or more of the enrolled students are eligible for free or reduced-cost meals through the National School Lunch Program. In 2023, through its programs, National Network of Resource Centers, and coast-to-coast local partners, Kids In Need Foundation and our national network supported over 4 million students and 200,00 teachers in 13,000 under-resourced schools, with KINF distributing more than $42 million in free school supplies and classroom resources nationwide at no cost to schools or teachers.
