The Value of Education

Promoting equity in schools is an invaluable social investment that gives children a deeper perspective, knowledge about the world around them, and empowers them to make wise decisions for their future.

Large Volume Donations

Product donations made to Kids In Need Foundation are provided - free of charge - to teachers and students in underserved schools across the country. Through the help of our generous partners and corporate donors, last year we were able to supply an estimated 7.8 million students with the tools they need to participate and succeed in the classroom and beyond, via the 316,900 teachers we support.

With our National Network of Resource Centers and direct relationships with under-resourced schools, Kids In Need Foundation is the direct conduit to students and teachers nationwide.

Kids In Need Foundation works with companies to distribute large quantities of school supplies and resources to schools in underserved communities nationwide.

These donations vary in timeframe and volume, however, we are always looking to place these donations. For example, Lysol has provided over 300 trucks of disinfectant wipes and we placed that donation by truckload, shipping included at no cost to schools and/or districts.

If you are interested in being on the outreach for future donations, please fill out the application below. If you have any questions, please contact Kids In Need Foundation.

Retail Pickup

Kids In Need Foundation's pick-up programs, driven by our generous partners, offer an opportunity for teachers in underserved schools to receive free items for their classrooms. As our retailers transition seasonal items and make shifts in inventory, those products are set aside to be donated to local, under-resourced schools.

Here are a few key details:

  • We offer fun, seasonal decor items, arts and crafts supplies, activities, incentives, and wearables that inspire creative learning for your students, and much, much more!

  • Teachers or staff members in schools with a student eligibility of 50% or more in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) are eligible for this program.

  • You will be required to submit both an online pick-up report and provide the store with a signed receipt for each pick-up. The online form is very short and takes less than a minute of your time.

  • Pick-up dates generally occur monthly, with the exception of June and July for summer break.

Partner Spotlight: Lysol

Lysol Teachers 2 (1)

As we continue to bounce back from the pandemic, we are grateful to Lysol for making classrooms cleaner for students and teachers across the country. To help schools in their efforts to keep surfaces like the lunch table disinfected, Lysol will  donate 28 Million Lysol Disinfecting Wipes to schools across the country through Kids In Need Foundation, and 14 Million Lysol Disinfecting Wipes through the Frontline Impact Project.

Lysol's commitment to healthier learning environments relieves an enormous burden from administrators and teachers. We look forward to continuing to work together to keep students in under-resourced schools healthy, giving them the opportunity to thrive.
